Just a little note...

...Coz I'm really tired. Been running around doing all sorts for the last couple of days. Scrubby's possibly had food poisoning and maybe a touch of the flu so I've been doing more around the house which has totally made my body wonder what's going on lol!! I'm hoping to hold out until he's better so that my body can collapse in a tired heap of achy muscles and sleepy sighs and then he can look after me lol :oD

Bought some more storage for the craft room so I'm hopefully gunna do some more to there to sort it all out - STILL!! I'll probably have a nap at some point to catch up on missed sleep and hopefully it won;t be a sleepy day like the other sunday! Not good!! Too much to do, so little time to sleep lol!!

Found some great bargains today craft wise so some are for me and some for my 1 year youtube anniversary lol :oD yeyy!!! Can;t believe I posted my first video almost a year ago!! As it was a tour of my messy craft room, I'm gunna do another tour of this room, one year on - hopefully it won;t be AS messy as before lol!!!

My New Etsy Store!!!

Woo hoo!!! Yep I now have an Etsy store to add alongside my Folksy store :o) I've only put one item up so far...

Here they are... 10 recycled envelopes from an old catalogue :o) it all started when I tore the front page off so I could cut out the flowers, then I had to wrap a guys present up and had no wrapping paper - so I thought a page of bras would be gratefully received as the wrapping lol (and it was lol). Couldn't bring myself to throw the rest away so I've been making envelopes with the pages instead :o) I'm gunna get some sticky labels and decorate them so they can be used as envelope seals and address labels to make the use of them more easy and more practical.

Not done much other than this, did a crochet round 'flower' this morning but still in the practicing stage lol! Really looking forward to getting some more stuff up on my Etsy : http://www.etsy.com/shop/StormCrafts and my Folksy too: http://www.folksy.com/shops/StormCrafts

The Accidental Flower

Well, the other day's plans didn;t quite happen as I had hoped - spent most of the morning asleep and had a really tired day instead. Since then tho, I think I have done a bit of tidying up and the craft room is sloooowly getting there. I did do a bit of crafting tho :o) I tried my hand at crocheting some flowers - didn;t quite work out very well (I shall take pics when I've found them again lol) so I decided to have a go at doing some simple circles/rounds instead. First attempt not so good as you can see below... But 2nd much better!!

Next are my "accidental flowers" I was doing rounds but didn't really know what I was doing in regards to increasing or decreasing etc so the edges became too long and went all wiggley :o) pretty cute tho - might put a button in the centres or something to funk it up a bit more :o) I feel I must apologise for the bright neon colours (even worse in real life lol!) my daughter decided to throw out her wool - and how could I possibly let that happen?! So... I rescued it all :o) ..... only to find that in her wisdom of a few years ago so much younger... she'd chopped it all up!! I had fun sorting it all out and putting into separate bags tho :o) and even found a few of substantial length too :o) Hope you like them :o)

Well...

Not really much to report on... Bought a few little bits which I might do a collective haul vid on. Been sorting out the house still - should be doing more on the bedroom but keep getting sidetracked by doing the craftroom instead!! Oopsy!! But tomoro I plan on doing 1 hour downstairs, 1 in the bedroom and then 1 in the craftroom too :o) hopefully make some stuff before I pick littley up from school.

Waaay past my bedtime and battery's bout to fall asleep too.
I shall say gdnight to you all and we shall both go and recharge our batteries to play some more tomoro...

End Of An Era - New Chapter Beginning

Yep the day finally came... Yesterday was my final exam and the final day of college!! I'm so pleased I survived another year lol. Fingers are now crossed for good results - I did however find the last two papers pretty tricky, so I'm hoping the whole country agrees with me so they might lower the grade boundaries lol :o) well I can dream, no?

So today I have been really lazy - due to being really tired... Me and Scrubby were up til 1am moving pieces of paper without touching them and trying not to create a draft lol. Crazy it may sound but it was a lot of fun :o)

Operation Martha Stewart is gunna be initiated soon - hopefully tomoro I'll be up to it. Sorting out this house, it's so not tidy or organised so I'm hoping to have the energy to do that. Lounge first, bedroom 2nd then craftroom!! Maybe the kitchen in the middle somewhere too. I can't wait to get into that craftroom again and get creating!! It's been too long (and way too messy!!) but now I have nothing to distract me from doing it - other than family - so I have no excuse :o)

I really want to have a somewhat minimalistic look to this place but it's hard when you have naff all storage and too much stuff. I know I should get rid of stuff but crafters are notorious for being hoarders so it's quite tough to do so. Especially as I'm sure I will "need" everything one day!

Anyhoo, sleep is waving its magic wand over me again so I'm gunna stop typing before I start rambling and not making any sense lol.

Just a little update...

Hi guys,


Well, where to begin? Ok, Friday I had my final biology exam :o) yippeeee!! The end is in sight now lol, only 2 more exams to go - environmental studies - and then I'm well and truely finished with college :o) well unless I figure out what I want to do with my life and find out that more studying and qualifications are involved...!! So, the exam was really REALLY hard and it was only a GCSE - I feel so sorry for all the teenagers taking it at the same time as me - I'm an adult and found it challenging without all the pressures and hormones of being a teenager! But anyway it is done :o) yeyyy :o) Friday afternoon I met with my friend and gave her the mini album I had worked on for her to give as a birthday present. The next day I had a table at my daughters school fair and made around £20 which was good for the amount of people that came and it got my name out there which is the main thing. This time next month I shall be celebrating the end of college and throwing myself into crafting to make a living from it - I hope!!





Here;s the mini I made - excuse the mumbling and wierd voice - was tired and didn;t really know what I was doing :-/ oh well :o) lol

Also here's a birthday present I made back in January or February :o)

The recipient likes penguins so I printed out a gorgeous piccie to place inside the frame :o) baby Mumble looking up at his mummy and daddy :o) how cute!! Need to go upto HC this week and get some more letters to make some more for the cousins birthdays- some which I'm sure I've missed :-/ time flies too quickly I just can't keep up :o(

Speedy speedy speedy!!

Hiya peoples,
Well, Today was spent clearing hard drive on sky+ and crafting for the school fair... No pics yet but I shall take some once I've made a few more items. Made 2 notebooks, a door hanger and I've started on an altered large playing card... It's nearly finished.. Not too sure whether I like it or not, it doesn't look that good yet - I'm hoping it'll improve lol!!

Had a great night at my Tarot and Tea tonight and after answering someone's question on what I'll be doing the rest of the week (college and crafting for the fair) I was asked to bring some of my work in to next class :o) It'll be great to see what they think of them :o)
